Autumn is here, gutters beware!
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year with nature displaying a fantastic array of colours including dramatic reds, greens, oranges and yellows. But the season is turning wetter and the leaves are beginning to fall and this means trouble for you gutters.
Gutters get filled up at anytime of the year with leaves, pines needles, moss, silt and other debris but in Autumn the huge volume of falling leaves can laden your gutters putting unnecessary stress on them. The massive amount of leaves can quickly and easily clog up your gutters so now is the time to get your gutters cleaned and keep on top of it. Otherwise the burden of a full and blocked gutter can lead to breakages and damages to your home from the water running down the walls instead of down the gutter.
WATCH OUT! if you see water coming over the front of the gutter then it is usually due to clogging from leaves, sticks, pine needles and your gutters are so full they are over flowing.
So enjoy the beauty of Autumn but make sure your gutters are well maintained.
