There are definite benefits to hiring a professional gutter cleaning company for your home rather than attempting the job yourself. So if you are in two minds then read on!
Benefits of hiring a professional:
1) It will get the job done – You know if you hire someone and set a date then it is going to get done then. How many times do you plan do get tasks done and you run out of time or something comes up and it gets put off for another day? The fact is most people are pretty busy and it is easy to let jobs slip behind. By hiring a professional it will get done. Remember gutters that are blocked or full can lead to damage to your home and grounds.
2) Save time – Time now a days is often more valuable than money. Cleaning your gutters can take a while, especially if your property is a decent size. Why not keep your free time for yourself? The cost of hiring professional gutter cleaners is not expensive and when you compare the cost of it to the time you will be saving it can be well worth it. Your free time should be well spent and time is quickly becoming as valuable as money so spend it well.
3) Avoid the mess – Your gutters, especially if they have not been cleaned for a while can be quite full of soggy leaves, debris, moss and silt which can be pretty messy to clean up. It is definitely a job that you need to be prepared to get your hands dirty.
4) Safety – If you do not feel comfortable climbing up a tall ladder then don’t attempt to clean the gutters yourself. Access to your gutters using a ladder is not always easy and the ground can be quite uneven and the is very risky since you are pretty high up a ladder to reach your gutters. Eliminate the risk of you getting injured by hiring a professional.
5) Save the hassle – If you are not use to cleaning gutters then the job can be a real hassle involving having to constantly empty your debris bucket and having to go up and down the ladders to move them round the house. It can end up being a boring and repetitive task.
The only benefit of cleaning your gutters yourself is saving a little bit of money but in return you could be risking your safety, not making the best use of your time, whilst getting yourself in a mess. Why not just hire someone and know the job will get done safely and professionally.

Autumn is here, gutters beware!
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year with nature displaying a fantastic array of colours including dramatic reds, greens, oranges and yellows. But the season is turning wetter and the leaves are beginning to fall and this means trouble for you gutters.
Gutters get filled up at anytime of the year with leaves, pines needles, moss, silt and other debris but in Autumn the huge volume of falling leaves can laden your gutters putting unnecessary stress on them. The massive amount of leaves can quickly and easily clog up your gutters so now is the time to get your gutters cleaned and keep on top of it. Otherwise the burden of a full and blocked gutter can lead to breakages and damages to your home from the water running down the walls instead of down the gutter.
WATCH OUT! if you see water coming over the front of the gutter then it is usually due to clogging from leaves, sticks, pine needles and your gutters are so full they are over flowing.
So enjoy the beauty of Autumn but make sure your gutters are well maintained.

The importance and purpose of gutters
People know that their house should have gutters but are probably not fully aware of the true purpose and importance a gutter system plays in the role of maintaining your home.
The general purpose of Gutters is to capture rainwater and to divert it to the downspout and away from your house. But you might not be aware of the many advantages of having an effective gutter system and without one just how much damage it could cause and expense it might incur as a result. Here is the purpose and importance of gutter system:
Your gutter system prevents water that falls on the roof from dripping down the sides of the house and collecting near the foundation. If the rainwater runs straight off the roof it can pool on the ground and will collect near the foundation which will seep in and cause flooding, leaking or even foundation problems over time.
Without gutters the rain water would pour down the sides of your house and running water will most likely find its way in, potentially causing damp and mould problems.
The fascia boards or rafters can begin to rot from the water constantly dripping as well as door and window framing.
It prevents the just rain rolling off your roof and damaging the ground below, just imagine it would not take too many rain storms to begin erode away a small trench on the ground right around the sides of your house. And never mind the damage it would do to your garden or flower beds. . Without rain gutters, gardens can flood and erode very quickly from the massive amounts of runoff.
Gutters also prevent icicles forming on the edge of your roof which could be a potential hazard to you walking in and out your home and could also damage your roofs shingles.
They also stop you getting soaked at your entrance where the rain water would be running over the edge of your roof and straight onto you, the rain is bad enough!
The sides of your house would get pretty muddy and grimy if everything that landed or grew or your roof was just washed down the sides of your house whenever it rained.
So your gutters actually have a really important job.
